Heron by the Sea
Location : Elie-St Monans, Fife Coastal Path, Scotland
There are a few herons living on the shores of the North Sea. Birds are not very frigthen by humans usually, around St Andrews, but these (and gulls and crows) are quite a lot afraid. This is the only decent shot I have of one by the sea.

This was taken from my window. Because the Sun is low on the sky during most of Autumn and Winter, we have beautiful lightnings showing up.
